What shape, what clay type, what texture, what color combination? So many wonderful possibilities! I enjoy the creative process. Sometimes, I open the kiln and I find that everything worked out perfectly and I am thrilled with the mugs. Other times, I look at a piece and think about future combinations and applications that will improve upon the mug design. And yes, sometimes, I have epic fails that leave me disappointed and laughing. Pottery making is a continuous learning process – and the successes and failures are equally important.
When my mugs are packaged and shipped to their new homes, I always enjoy hearing from the recipient how much their mug is appreciated and enjoyed. That makes the process complete. Below are photos of some of my recent mugs – although I am constantly making new ones.
