Lagniappe

Lagniappe is a creole word that means “the gift” or “to give more”.  The practice originated in Louisiana in the 1840s where a merchant would provide a little something extra to their customers.  After several requests for wedding favors, ornaments for the holidays, and a variety of other smaller specialty items, I decided to carry some Lagniappe of my own.

Small fun projects include creating pottery pieces to hold our homemade Soy candles and soap. There is also an opportunity to be whimsical in creating hand-built items – like bird houses, ornaments and unique trivet dishes.  I will also be adding some pottery pieces that include melted glass – which are just lovely. Below are some recent examples.
